FAA NASR Data — Public Domain
NavCard GPS navigation data is derived from the FAA National Airspace System Resources (NASR) database, which is published by the Federal Aviation Administration and is in the public domain. The FAA publishes NASR data on a 28-day AIRAC cycle. NavCard GPS processes and formats this data for use with GNS 400/500 series avionics. We are not affiliated with the FAA.
Original Hardware Design
NavCard GPS data cards are original designs manufactured to be electrically compatible with the Garmin GNS 400/500 card slot. They are not Garmin counterfeits, not reproductions of Garmin cards, and not manufactured by Garmin or its authorized suppliers. The card form factor and electrical interface are reverse-engineered from published GNS unit specifications and physical measurement of the card slot.
Independent Software
The NavCard GPS programmer software is independently developed. It does not incorporate Garmin software, Jeppesen software, or any proprietary third-party code. It communicates with the USB programmer hardware via a standard USB protocol.
VFR Use Disclaimer
NavCard GPS products are for VFR reference use. Always verify navigation data against current charts and NOTAMs. NavCard GPS does not warrant the accuracy of navigation data for IFR operations. Pilots are solely responsible for verifying all navigation information against current official sources before any flight.
Business Structure
NavCard GPS, LLC is a U.S.-registered company. The corporate entity is organized in Wyoming; operations are based in New Hampshire. This structure was established with legal counsel.
